CU to present 45 Plays for 45 Presidents

Campbellsville, KY -. - The Campbellsville University Theater Department is set to perform "45 Plays for 45 Presidents," presented by Community Trust Bank and Town Hall Productions. The play will be performed in the Russ Mobley Theater of the Alumni Building at 114 University Drive, Campbellsville, KY.

Performances are scheduled for:
  • Thursday, February 20, 2020, at 7pmET
  • Friday, February 21, 2020, at 7pmET
  • Saturday, February 22, 2020, at 7pmET
  • Sunday, February 23, 2020, at 2:30pmET
"45 Plays for 45 Presidents" is a "hilarious romp through the American presidency" by Karen Weinberg, Chloe Johnston, Genevra Gallo-Bayiates, Sean Benjamin and Andy Bayiates. It is produced by special arrangement with Playscripts Inc.

Tickets are available by visiting www.townhallpro.com/theater-film or calling (270) 789-5266. General admission is $10; seniors, 65 and older, and children, 12 and under, are $7; Campbellsville University employees are $7; and CU students are free with their CU ID.



Online ticket sales end at noon on the day of the presentation; from that point tickets can be reserved at (270) 789-5266 or purchased at the door while supplies last.

According to playscripts.com, it "is exactly what it sounds like, but every turn it takes is entirely unexpected. In each of these espresso shots of American history, the flexible ensemble explores a surprising aspect of that administration.

"The short plays run on a spectrum from elections to impeachments, from personal stories to political battles, and from funny to tragic. A unique, thought-provoking, and wildly entertaining evening of theatre."

The cast includes the following: Cody Campbell, a senior of Oldham County, Ky.; Holly Jo Evans, a junior of Barbourville, Ky.; James Mattingly, a junior of Danville, Ky.; Lauren Phillips, a freshman of Campbellsville, Ky.; and Janae Boling, a senior of Crestwood, Ky.

The crew consists of the following: Dramaturg - Natalie Shadrick, a junior of Paducah, Ky.; Stage Manager - Morgan Hutchins, freshman of Shepherdsville, Ky.; Properties Artisan - Gabe Taylor, a freshman of Fisherville, Ky.;

Properties Artisan - Sinjin Fuchs of Eubank, Ky.; Lighting and Sound Assistant - Nour Awamleh of Elizabethtown, Ky.; and SoundBoard Operator - Emilee Arflack of Louisville, Ky.
