Noel Guthrie Strange, 77, World War II veteran Noel Guthrie Strange, 77, 1297 Pelly Lane, Columbia, passed away Thursday, September 18, 2003, at 9:07 a.m., at Westlake Regional Hospital in Columbia, KY. The funeral service is Saturday, September 20, 2003, at 2:00 p.m. at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home in Columbia with Rev. Steven Neel and Rev. William R. Davenport officiating. He was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church. He was retired from the Kentucky Department of Highways working in Parts at the local State Highways Equipment Garage. He was a veteran of World War II, a member of Local VFW Post 6097, and a member of Disabled American Veterans. He was the son of the late Clarence and Viola Guthrie Strange. He is survived by the following:
