Lillian Josephine Adams Mills, 75, Casey County, KY Lillian Josephine Adams Mills, of Liberty, passed away on Sunday, January 26, 2020 at the age of 75. The funeral service will be held at 12noonCT/1pmET on Thursday, January 30, 2020 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Don Jones, Bro. Russell Shafer, and Bro. Willard Ray Mills officiating. Burial will follow in Salem Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-8pm Wednesday, January 29, 2020. Born on April 7, 1944, in Lincoln County, Kentucky, she was a daughter of the late Geter Monroe and Maxine Bruner Adams. Lillian was a farmer and a homemaker. She enjoyed canning, ginseng digging, and working in her flower beds. All her life, Lillian was a hard worker. She is survived by her husband of twenty-five years, Arnold Mills of Liberty; three daughters, Mary Sue Silverthorn of Lincoln County, Darlene (George) Moore of Moreland, and Bonnie May (Luke) Silverthorn of Lincoln County; and three sons, Willie Joe (Letha Dean) Sowder of Liberty, Eddie (Pam) Monroe Sowder of Lincoln County, and Steve (Devonda) Thompson of Liberty. Other survivors include a brother, David Ray (Debbie) Adams of Danville; a stepdaughter, Melissa Gitto of Florida; a stepson, Arnold D. Mills of Florda; twelve grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by three sisters, Mary Lou Dowell, Alene Pittman, and Betty June Bullock; and two brothers, Denver Adams and Billy Joe Adams.
