TCMS and TCIS Junior Beta Clubs have wins at state

Taylor County Middle School Junior Beta Club competed at the State Convention in Louisville on January 23 and 24, 2020.

Congratulations to the following winners:



Viktoria Rosner (8th grader), Jayda Smith (8th grader) and Jackson Hays (6th grader): 3rd Place Two-Dimensional Design with their banner

Savannah White (7th grader): 4th Place in Handmade Jewelry

Ethan Lee: 5th Place in the 6th Grade Science Test

Songfest: 5th Place

Club Trading Pin: 6th Place

TCMS Junior Beta Sponsors are Jamie Adams and Hayley Hash. Congrats TCMS Junior Beta!! Taylor County Intermediate School Junior Beta competed at the State Convention in Louisville, Kentucky with a great showing both individually and collectively!

Abraxas Hyde: STATE CHAMPION 4th grade Language Arts

Allison Shofner: STATE RUNNER UP 4th grade Social Studies

Grady Shuffett: 4th Place 5th grade Language Arts

Karly Hayes: 5th Place 4th grade Science

Club Trading Pin: 3rd Place

Group Talent: STATE CHAMPIONS!!!

Jaxon McCubbin, Kentucky Elementary Junior Beta President and TCMS 6th grade student, gave his Outgoing Keynote Speech on Friday of the convention. He has made Taylor County and the State of Kentucky proud during his year term as Junior Beta President!

The TCIS Junior Beta Club will head to Nationals in June!

The TCIS Junior Beta Club is sponsored by Mandy Cox and Debbie Gumm. Group Talent was choreographed by Rhonda Yates and Tonya Rogers.

TC Intermediate Junior Beta wins led by Brax Hyde

Taylor County Intermediate School Junior Beta made a great showing at the State Convention in Louisville. Brax (Abraxas) Hyde, 10-year-old son of David and Shannon Hyde, at left, was the only student in Taylor county to get a first place prize - Champion 4th grade Language Arts. He will go on to compete in Ft. Worth, Texas nationals. Pictured with him are winners Grady Shuffett, 4th Place 5th grade Language Arts; Karly Hayes, 5th Place 4th grade Science; and Allison Shofner, Runner up 4th grade Social Studies.
