Sherman Barger Richards, 94, Casey County, KY (1925-2020)

Sherman Barger Richards age 94, of Liberty, KY passed away on Friday January 17th, 2020 at his residence.

Visitation will be held 1-5pmCT/2-6pmET Tuesday January 28, 2020 at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be held at a later date in the Arlington National Cemetery.

He was born in Liberty, KY on June 25, 1925 a son of the late Sherman and Ruth Barger Richards.

Sherman was the widower of Florence Gay Sims Richards who passed away on November 14th, 2010.

Sherman was a retired Chaplin U.S. Navy, Lt. Commander Chaplin C. taught German and was the financial aid officer for Campbellsville College, taught in the Lincoln Co. School System and a Minister at Clearview Community Church.

Survivors include: Three Children: Dr. William F. and (Selena) Richards of London, KY, Deborah and (Kenny) Creighton of Liberty and Sherman George Richards of Cheyenne, WY, Four Grandchildren and Three Great Grandchildren.

Preceding him in death besides his parents and spouse was One Sister, Ruth Price.

Bartle Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
