Walker to Make Statement Today

Sentencing is scheduled for today at 1:00 p.m. for Blake Walker in the December murder of his parents Brian Walker and Barbara Peterson. His attorney says that Walker plans to make a statement explaining "why he did it."

Media coverage is expected to boom in town for the sentencing today, and courthouse officials say that more than 20 media outlets have already contacted them for information on today's hearing.

Walker is expected to receive a life imprisonment sentence with no chance for parole before 25 years. Judge James G. Weddle is presiding.
