Four treated at hospital in Russell accident

Four persons were treated following a two-vehicle accident which occurred at 2:30 p.m., August 16, 2003, four miles east of Russell Springs at the intersection of KY 80 and KY 76.

Troy Sandlin, 54, Nancy, KY, was traveling north on KY 76 in a 1995 Ford Ranger and was struck when he pulled into the path of a 1985 Pontiace traveling east on KY 80, operated by Jonathan Tate, 28, Russell Springs, KY.

Sandlin and a passenger, Robert Hall, 40, Russell Springs, were treated at the Russell County Hospital. Both were wearing seat belts.

Tate and a passenger, Jamie Bean, 24, Russell Springs, were treated at the Russell County Hospital. Both were wearing seat belts.

Trooper Larry Wesley of Kentucky State Police Post 15 worked the accident.
