Macdonald and Thilwind are MSC Swimmers of Week

COLUMBIA, Ky. - Jessica Macdonald has been selected as the Mid-South Conference Women's Swimmer of the Week, conference officials announced on Monday.

The Durban, South Africa native earned four total wins and four national A-Standards at their dual against Loyola (La.). She captured three individual A-Standards and one relay A-Standard.

Macdonald's performance helped lead the Blue Raiders to a 127-113 upset victory over No. 6-ranked Loyola.

This is the 13th weekly honor of her career and the fifth this season.

Thilwind is Men's Swimmer of the Week

William Thilwind has been selected as the Mid-South Conference Men's Swimmer of the Week, conference officials announced on Monday.



The freshman from the Gold Coast of Australia earned two A cuts and one B standard in the Blue Raiders' dual against Loyola (La.).

His lone individual A cut came in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 53.40.

Thilwind was also a member of the 200 medley relay which earned an A standard with a time of 1:37.89. He earned a B cut in the 200 back with a time of 2:00.23.

Thilwind earns weekly honors for first time in his career.
