Gary Bowen, 64, Campbellsville, KY (1955-2019)

Gary Bowen of Campbellsville passed away on Saturday, December 21, 2019. He was 64 years old.

The funeral service will be held at 1pmET on Monday, December 23, 2019, at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Ave., Campbellsville, KY, officiated by Bro. Greg Bowen and Bro. Les Richard. Burial will follow in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.

Visitation is requested after 10amET on Monday, December 23, 2019, at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home.


Gary Bowen of Campbellsville, son of Bernice Sapp Bowen Cox and the late Lewis Bowen, was born August 10, 1955 in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 12:20 A.M., Saturday, December 21, 2019 in Campbellsville.

He professed faith in Christ and was baptized.

Gary was a former construction worker and bricklayer and was known for taking pride in his work. He will be remember as a loving husband, father and grandfather and was always cutting up with his friends.

He united in marriage to Josephine Sallee in 1998.

Besides his wife, Josephine Bowen, he is survived by two daughters: Lori Antle and Tiffany Bowen of Campbellsville; seven grandchildren: Caley James, Bailee Antle, Jackson Antle, Easton Powell, Keeley Powell, Molly Powell and Brantley Davis; two step-grandchildren: Gabriel Carter and Joseph Bagby: his mother, Bernice Bowen Cox of Campbellsville; three brothers: Wendell Bowen and wife, Gwen and Randy Bowen and wife, Barbara of Campbellsville and Greg Bowen and wife, Sue of Glasgow; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Gary was also preceded in death by one son and daughter: Adam Bowen November 15, 2009 and Kelli Jo Bowen in infancy.

Expressions of sympathy are requested to be donations to funeral expenses and may be made at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home.
