Ruth Pruitt Willis, 83, Burkesville, KY (1936-2019) Ruth Pruitt Willis of Burkesville passed away on Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at her home. She was 83 years old. The funeral service will be held on Friday, December 20, 2019, at 2pmCT at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N. Main Street, Burkesville, KY, with burial in Christian Chapel Cemetery. The family requests visitation on Thursday, December 20, 2019, from 4pmCT until 9pmCT at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home. Ruth was born on December 2, 1936 in Cumberland County, KY to the late Andy Burr Pruitt and Arlie Short Pruitt. She had worked for 15 years in the cafeteria at Kettle School and operated Willis Barbeque for 35 years. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Roy Willis, eleven siblings, James, Howard, Deli, Will Ed, Laura Mae, Maggie, Opal, Altie, John, Russell "Dick", and Richard "Doc".
