Roads closed due to flooding

Below is a list of roads that we know are flooded. There could be more! Just because we haven't been notified doesn't mean there aren't more. If it's a low lying area that is prone to flood it probably is! Please be cautious!
  • Taylor Ford Rd
  • L Hancock
  • Old Gradyville (2 locations- at both bridges)
  • James Karnes Rd
  • Pelham Branch Rd
  • Howard Dublin Rd
  • Sulphur Creek Rd
  • Knifley Rd
  • Liberty Road (at Tower Rd) coming from ditch line
  • Milltown Road at Russell Creek
  • In Green Co., Hwy 61 at the S-curves
If you know of other roads please call adair County 911.

Russell Creek after the rains

Last night's heavy rains left Russell Creek way out of its banks this morning, and many roads unpassable and closed. This view is from just past the Campbellsville Street bridge, looking back toward downtown.

The water of Russell Creek is way out of its banks all around Columbia. Debris is beginning to catch and pile up again under the Hwy 206 bridge after having just been fully cleaned by the state this summer.
