Barbara Burkhead, 76, Campbellsville, KY (1943-2019) Barbara Burkhead of Campbellsville passed away on Tuesday, December 10, 2019. She was 76 years old. The funeral service will be held at 1pmET on Saturday, December 14, 2019, at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Ave., Campbellsville, KY, officiated by Bro. Donald Ashley. Burial will follow in Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation is requested from 5pmET until 8pmET on Friday, December 13, 2019 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home. Barbara Burkhead of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Robert Miller Loy and Gladys Beard Loy Daniels, was born September 26, 1943 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 9:35 P.M., Tuesday, December 10, 2019 in Campbellsville. She professed faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith. Barbara was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom. She enjoyed the beauty of flowers and spending time with her dogs. She united in marriage to Johnny Burkhead January 17, 1961 and he preceded her in death March 26, 2009. She is survived by two sons and one daughter: Robert Burkhead and Danyelle Noel and Janie Chappel and husband, Mark of Campbellsville and James Burkhead and wife, Vanessa of Science Hill; two grandsons: David Wesley Chappel of Campbellsville and Hunter James Burkhead of Science Hill; one brother, Robert "Sonny" Loy and wife, Bonnie of Columbia; two nieces and one nephew and many other relatives and friends. The family would like to thank a special caregiver and friend, Danyelle Noel. Barbara was also preceded in death by one granddaughter, Lydia Taylor Burkhead and one sister, Louise Loy Smith. Expressions of sympathy are requested to be donations to Hosparus of Green River and may be made at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home. Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
