Fiscal Court approves Sheriff's Office 2020 Budget

Fiscal Court approved the 2020 Budget for the Adair County Sheriff’s Office at the first December meeting Tuesday evening. The only major change in the budget this year is the increase in equipment of $10,000 for the purchase of Kevlar vests for the deputies.

According to County Judge Executive Gale Cowan, "The ones they have are outdated and not fitted to the deputies. He will try to obtain a grant for the purchase of the vests but wanted to include it in the budget in case he didn’t get the grant."

The excess fees for the Sheriff's Office are also up around $6,000.

The next regularly scheduled meeting will be Monday, December 30, 2019 at 4pmCT in the Courthouse Annex. Normally this meeting is held on Tuesday but was planned for Monday due to the holiday.
