Velma Murray, 84 Services will be held Monday, July 21, 2003 at 1 p.m. for Mrs. Velma Murray at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home. A homemaker, Mrs. Murray passed away Friday, July 18, in her Tutt Street, Columbia home after an illness. She was the daughter of the late Cundiff and Ella Blair Bradshaw and the widow of Lilburn Murray who preceded her in death in 1984. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Willie Murray. Mrs. Murray is survived by daughter Helen Murray of Columbia; two grandchildren, Angie Murray and Shelley Murray, and her friend Ricky Kerns; two great grandchildren, Vanessa Cooper and Gary Cooper; special friends: Virginia Furkin, Barbara Smith, Tammy Bledsoe, Marsha Clark, Shiela Johnson, Rhonda Furkin, Tracie Perry and Stacy Shepherd, and by a host of other relatives and friends. Clergy officiating will be Bro. Davis Franklin and interment will be in Grant Cemetery at Glensfork.
