Blake Walker avoids possible death sentence with guilty plea

Blake Walker has entered a plea on Tuesday, July 15, 2003, in Adair Circuit Court, to two counts of murder in reference to the deaths of his parents, Brian Walker and Barbara Peterson.

In the plea agreement, Blake Walker agreed to a sentence of life without the possibility of parole for 25 years. Sentencing has been scheduled for August 26, 2003.

Commonwealth Attorney Brian Wright read a brief statement outlining the Commonwealth's proof that Blake Walker did, in fact, commit these murders.

In this statement, Wright said that Brian Walker died from a single gunshot wound to the back of his head and Barbara Peterson died from multiple gunshot wounds to the upper torso.

All wounds came from a 9 mm weapon and were fired from Blake Walker's bedroom, approximately 12 feet away from where the bodies of the couple were located at the time of their deaths.
