Blue Raiders Volleyball headed directly to Sioux City By Christopher Coombs The Lindsey Wilson volleyball team received a bye directly to the final site of the NAIA Volleyball National Championship Tournament in Sioux City, Iowa as the national office announced the qualifiers and opening round matchups on Monday. Lindsey Wilson is one of 20 teams nationwide to receive a bye directly to the final site as a top-19 teams along with host institution Morningside (IA). The remaining 24 teams battle in 12 NAIA Opening Round matches on Nov. 23 to earn a spot at the final site. The Blue Raiders (29-5) receive a bye directly into pool play at the final championship site at the Tyson Events Center. It marks the fifth-straight season Lindsey Wilson has received a bye directly to the final site and sixth time in program history. Lindsey Wilson earned an automatic bid into the national championship tournament after capturing the 2019 Mid-South Conference Tournament crown. The opening round winners advance to the final site where the 32 teams will be divided into pool play.
