Food, music and scholarship fund on the agenda Saturday

The Reverend Joe Payne Community Thanksgiving luncheon was held November 16, 2019 at the Wheet Fellowship Hall of the First Church of the Nazarene in Columbia.

On the program were Sharon Payne, Reverend Bobby Bowe and Mayor Pam Hoots discussing the memorial scholarship fund. And, if it includes the Payne family, there is always good music.

Some of the areas Joe Payne served in included: Lake Cumberland area development district, Agape House, Adair County Ministerial Association, Eunice Church of God, Columbia Adair Chamber of Commerce, the hospital, jail ministry, Homeplace on Green River, Drug Court, School Board, Men of Praise group and Family Resource Center.

The executive committee for this celebration included Reverend Billy Payne, Reverend Bobby Bowe, Mayor Pamela Hoots, Billy Wheat, Linda Waggener, Sharon Payne, Dwight Taylor, Phyllis Payne, and Marjorie Payne.
