Loren V. WIlson, 82. World War II Veteran

Loren V. Wilson, 82, Heskamp Street, Columbia, KY, (formerly of the Price's Creek Community), passed away on Sunday, July 13, 2003, at 9:25 a.m., at the Westlake Regional Hospital after several weeks illness.

The funeral service will be Wednesday, July 16, 2003, at 1:00 p.m. at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with Bro. Danny Wayne Sexton and Bro. Kevin Rodgers officiating.


Mr. Wilson was a member of the Price's Creek Baptist Church, a farmer, and a US Army veteran of World War II.

He was the son of the late Willie Virgil and Kizzie Ann Burris Wilson of Adair County, Kentucky.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Osie M. Sexton Wilson on September 5, 1996.

Survivors include the following:
  • Two sons: Carlos Wayne Wilson, Edmonton, KY, and Rick Wilson, Columbia, KY.
  • Two daughters: Louise Brown, Campbellsville, KY, and Mary Helen Rodgers of Columbia, KY.
  • Two sisters: Artie Clemmons, Edmonton, KY, and Dorothy Bingham, Edmonton, KY.
  • 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
  • and three special caregivers: Donna Karnes, Delores England, and Bryan Morris.
He was preceded in death by one grandson, Tim Wilson, on December 10, 1998.

Visitation is after 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 15, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home in Columbia.

Burial will be in the Moore Cemetery, Prices Creek Road (Adair County; Edmonton mail address).
