LWC Men's basketball hosts Martin Methodist Saturday By Grace Blomstedt The Lindsey Wilson men's basketball team hosts Martin Methodist (TN) at 3pmCT on Saturday, November 2 at Biggers Sports Center, 360 Spickard Drive, Columbia, KY. The Blue Raiders (2-0) return to action after a 104-72 victory over Florida National Monday night. Reece Brooks and Payton Cundiff each produced 20 points to lead all scorers. Brooks shot 50% from the floor with his eight baskets, and Cundiff came off the bench, hitting five-of-seven shots from behind the three-point line. Malik Hart earned his first double-double as a Blue Raider scoring 11 points and securing 10 rebounds. Lindsey Wilson is currently ranked in the top-10 in the NAIA Division I for 13 different categories. The Blue Raiders lead the nation in total steals with 41 and rank second in steals per game (20.5). LWC ranks third in assist/turnover ratio boasting a 2.364 and fifth in scoring defense per game allowing just 53.5 points, assists per game (26.0), total assists (52), and turnover margin (17.5). Seven Blue Raiders rank in the NAIA Division 1 top-12 in seven individual statistical categories. Martin Methodist (3-0) returns to action after defeating Brescia 81-68 Wednesday night. The RedHawks outrebounded the Bearcats 50 to 25 including 17 offensive boards. Martin Methodist shot 46.2% from the floor while making nine three-pointers off of only 17 attempts. Brescia forced the RedHawks to turn over the ball 28 times. Martin Methodist ranks fifth in the NAIA in total blocks (12) and eighth in total rebounds per game (52.3). Saturday's matchup marks the 13th meeting between the two programs and Lindsey Wilson leads the series 8-4. The Blue Raiders are 5-1 in Biggers Sports Center against the RedHawks.
