Taylor County High School holds JAG Ceremony By Maddie Gumm, Marketing Director Taylor County High School held their Jobs for America's Graduates (JAG) Ceremony on Thursday, October 17, 2019 in the Roger D. Cook Auditorium. During the ceremony, new officers were installed, the Mission Statement and Career Goals were read, JAG members recited the Vows of Membership, and Michael Rodenberg, CEO of Murakami Manufacturing USA and Director of Murakami Corporation, was the Keynote Speaker. The following officers were inducted during the ceremony: President: junior Gerald Gonzalez Vice President: freshman Scott Hall Treasurer: freshman Molly Hughes Secretary: sophomore Whitney Houchens Chapter Reporter: freshman Kayla Barr JAG is a state-based national non-profit organization dedicated to helping students stay in school through graduation, pursue post-secondary education and secure jobs leading to career advancement opportunities. TCHS JAG is under the leadership of Ben Ellard and Bill McCullough. After the ceremony, there was a reception catered by Taylor County Cardinal Corral. Taylor County School District would like to thank our JAG Teachers, Mr. Ellard and Mr. McCullough for leading our students, Mr. Rodenberg for sharing his three keys to success with our students, Cardinal Corral for providing a meal after the ceremony, and our students for their dedication to the JAG program.
