Day trip: Holmes Bend Marina before closing for winter By Linda Waggener A day trip visit to Holmes Bend Marina Wednesday afternoon, October 23, 2019 found the owners making preparations for the winter season. David Lewis Butler, his daughter Kelly and grandson Tanner were preparing for closing up from October 31, 2019 until March of 2020. Ellen Zornes and I were treated to a tour of expansion areas that will be taking place over the winter and the experience of feeding the fish that have a regular spot where they expect their daily snacks.
