Earl Gene Conover, 67, retired Master Sergeant, dies in Colorado Earl Gene Conover, 67, Columbus, IN, formerly of Columbia, KY, passed away Saturday, May 31, 2003 at 7:15 a.m. at Memorial Hospital in Peyton, CO. He was the son of the late Thurston Oliver Conover and Nina Buster Conover Scholl, who survives. Mr. Collins had retired in 1972 as a Master Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force. He was a former Mason and a Shriner. He was an avid reader and a master crossword puzzle solver. He will be warmly remembered by many here for his work for several years as cashier at Betty's OK Country Cooking. Besides his mother, he is survived by the following:
The funeral service will be Thursday, June 5, 2003, at 10:00 a.m. at Myers Funeral Service, Reed & Jewell Chapel, on 25th Street in Columbus, IN, with David R. Burnett the officiating clergy. Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association. Visitation is Wednesday, June 4, 2003, 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home in Columbus.
