Ruby C. Keltner, retired Adair teacher, dies at 72

Ruby C. Keltner,72, 4385 Greensburg Road, Columbia, died Wednesday, May 28, 2003, at 6:10 p.m. at Westlake Cumberland Hospital in Columbia, KY.

The funeral service will be Saturday, May 31, 2003 at Grissom Funeral Home in Columbia with the Rev. Herbert Janes and George Rice officiating.

Mrs. Keltner was a retired teacher who taught for 30 years in the Adair County School system.


She was the daughter of the late E.A. and Beatrice Turner Caldwell.

She was a member of the Bethany Baptist Church.

Survivors include the following:
  • Her husband, Phillip Keltner, Columbia.
  • Two daughters and sons-in-law, Christie and J.J. Lambiase, and Kathy and Jimmy Dale Cox, all of Columbia, KY.
  • Four grandchildren, Jeremy and his wife, Amy Cox; Jackie Cox, Korianne Cox, and April and her husband Micah Janes.
  • Three great grandchildren, Janson and Makayla Jane and Briley Cox.
Burial will be in the Keltner Family Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 3:00 p.m., Friday, May 30, at Grissom Funeral Home. Grissom Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
