Shannon Durham, 77, Yosemite, in Casey County, KY, Shannon Durham, of Yosemite, in Casey County, KY, passed away on Saturday, October 12, 2019, at his residence. He was 77. The funeral service will be held at 12noonCT/1pmCT on Tuesday, October 15, 2019, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Jim Luttrell and Bro. Steve Allen officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Lewis Foster, Bruce Merritt, Jason Lamb, Jason Bastin, Phillip Passmore, Ryan Durham and Clayton Palmer. Honorary pallbearers will be his grandchildren. Born on April 14, 1942, in Casey County, Kentucky, he was a son of the late Coker and Marie Goforth Durham. Shannon was a farmer and retired from American Greetings. He was a member of House of Prayer Pentecostal Church. He loved fox and rabbit hunting. Shannon was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. Shannon is survived by his wife, Nila Dean Foster Durham, who he wed on March 10, 1965; a daughter, Kristie Michelle (Jason) Lamb of Junction City; a son, Timothy Ray (Angela) Durham of Yosemite; and six grandchildren, Drew, Chayse, Arin, Gracie, Jonas and Morgan. Other survivors include two great-grandchildren, Ian and Ayden. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Deva Vance; and two brothers, Noel Kenneth Durham and Edward Lewis Durham. McKinney-Brown Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
