LWC Football battles No. 14-ranked Bethel on the road tonight

The No. 10-ranked Lindsey Wilson football team hits the road tonight to face No. 14-ranked Bethel (Tenn.) in a top 25 Mid-South Conference matchup. Kickoff is scheduled for 6pmCT at Wildcat Stadium, 150 Wildcat Ln, McKenzie, TN. Live video and stats will be available for the game.

The Blue Raiders and the Wildcats meet for the sixth time in the history of the series, with Lindsey Wilson leading the all-time series 3-2. Bethel won the last meeting between the two programs 56-30 at Blue Raider Stadium during the 2018 season.


The Blue Raiders (4-0) come into tonight's game undefeated after defeating Warner (Fla.) 73-29 on the road September 21st. Quarterback Cameron Dukes comes into tonight's game leading the Mid-South Conference in total offensive yards/game (297.3), total passing yards/game (286.3), and passing touchdowns (14). Jay Gaudlock sits as Duke's top target this season, as he's caught 22 passes for 277 yards and two touchdowns. Jaylen Boyd comes in as the top rusher for Lindsey Wilson, as he's rushed 42 times for 311 yards and two touchdowns this season.

On defense, Luke Bowman leads the Blue Raiders in total tackles with 30. Stevie Miller leads Lindsey Wilson with six tackles for loss, while Todd James has recorded a team high two interceptions for 87 yards and one touchdown in the secondary.

Bethel (3-1) returns home tonight after defeating Point (Ga.) 48-21 on September 28th. Quarterbacks Blake Meadors and Christian Arrambide have both attempted 47 passes this season for the Wildcats, with Meadors completing 24 passes for 508 yards and seven touchdowns, while Arrambide has completed 19 passes for 313 yards and two touchdowns. De'Ontay Tate has rushed 53 times for a team high 269 yards, while Caleb Nelson has caught a team high 10 passes for 169 yards this season.

On defense, Jakobe Griffin leads the NAIA in tackles per game (12.8) and has recorded 19 solo and 32 assisted tackles for a team high 51 total tackles this season for Bethel. Keyshawn Brummett leads the team with four sacks, while Brandon Moore has recorded a team high two interceptions this season.
