LWC Men's Swimming in 2nd place at Day 1 of Fall Frenzy

The Lindsey Wilson men's swimming team sits in second place after the first day of the LWC Fall Frenzy on Friday evening at the Bob and Doris Holloway Health & Wellness Center.

The Blue Raiders sit second out of four teams at the meet with a score of 255 points, falling 55 points behind Olivet Nazarene (Ill.) with 310. Campbellsville (Ky.) finished in third behind the Blue Raiders with 227 points, while Bethel (Tenn.) is in fourth with 87 points.

Lindsey Wilson is back in the pool Saturday morning at the Bob and Doris Holloway Health & Wellness Center, 399 Williams St., Columbia, KY, beginning at 9amCT.



The Blue Raiders notched their first two of three A-cuts with both 200-yard freestyle relay teams notching the national standard. The quartet of Reece Kincaid, William Thilwind, Tyler King, and James de Goede touched the wall in 1:30.60 to claim first place. The pairing of Jordan Schaeffer, Joshua Seltz, Michael Peck, Ricky Dugan claimed fourth place finishing with a time of 1:33.30. The third A-cut came when the 400-Yard Medley Relay consisting of de Goede, Kincaid, Thilwind, and King grabbed a second-place finish at 3:42.07.

Lindsey Wilson also notched two B-Cuts from Kincaid placing first in the 200-yard individual medley (2:02.93) and de Goede placing second in the 50-yard freestyle (22.38). Three other Blue Raiders competed in the 50-yard freestyle, as Schaeffer, King, and Dungan finished fourth, fifth, and sixth, respectively.

Dugan and Peck finished fifth and sixth, respectively, in the 500-yard freestyle. Thilwind notched a third-place finish in 200-yard individual medley.

The Blue Raider men's and women's teams combined for 464 total team points during the first day, finishing in second behind leader Olivet Nazarene with 613 combined points.
