United Citizens Bank celebrates new branch opening

United Citizens Bank of Southern Kentucky is celebrating the Grand Opening of its newest branch at 202 Dohoney Trace, Columbia, KY on Thursday, September 25, 2019. Lunch will be served from 11am to 1pmCT, and there will be door prizes and giveaways.

The South Columbia branch, which opened on July 3, 2019, marks the 5th office for United Citizens Bank since it was established in Columbia, KY in 2004.

"We are very proud and excited about our new South Columbia branch," said Matt Loy, CEO of United Citizens Bank. "Adair County is growing and so are we. Customer service is the foundation our bank was built on, and we are very happy to be offering this branch for the convenience and needs of our current and future customers."



The new branch offers full-service banking and the bank's complete line of financial products and services, as well as Saturday drive-thru hours. Woody Sharpe has been named as Branch Manager. Woody has been employed with UCB since its inception and has served in many roles and all areas of the bank from loans to deposits and has a deep knowledge of the community and its banking needs. "We are very fortunate to have Woody to lead our new branch," said CEO Loy. "He is experienced and knowledgeable, and he has always put his customers first."

United Citizens Bank, which opened its doors at 700 Jamestown Street in December 2004, has grown to over $170 million in assets.

UCB holds grand opening event at South Columbia Branch

Founders, board members and managers were joined by family and friends. Security was tight at UCB grand opening ceremonies

Archer Loy could probably have had any job a three-year-old could qualify for at UCB, however, he chose to be a cowboy at the grand opening Thursday, checking out any suspicious characters. He was with his dad, Matt, the CEO of United Citizens Bank, for the official grand opening of the new South Columbia Branch.
