Saturday, September 21, 2019 a day of serving others

By Ellen Zornes

A Day of Service to others has been in the making for tomorrow, Saturday, September 21, 2019 and several projects are planned for groups around Adair County.

There are two main meeting spots - one at the City Park with Mayor Pam Hoots at the old Fairgrounds. The other meeting place is in the Flatwoods at Santa Fe Church where the Rosenwald School restoration is getting started by the Christian Church Band of Brothers.

The Rosenwald School renovation has a little different workday than the City schedule. Anyone helping at the Rosenwald School at Santa Fe in the Flatwoods community on Saturday, September 21, the Band of Brothers is heading up the process and will begin work at 7:30amCT and are requesting help from that time on. Lunch will be served at that location and work will continue after lunch throughout that afternoon. Volunteers are welcome at both places - come out to help Saturday!
