Art Gallery on LWC campus a popular spot Thursday

By Linda Waggener

Over the past month, local artists have had their work showcased in the Lucretia C. Begley Gallery in the Slider Humanities Center on the campus of Lindsey Wilson College.

A reception was held Thursday, September 19, 2019 so the public and the artists could meet and visit. The only thing that might have made the event better would have been a visit with the professional artist and former LWC First Lady for whom it is named, Lucretia Begley.

The exhibit and reception were hosted by the Adair County Arts Council, Tim Smith, President. He can be reached for more information about future exhibits at 270-384-8079 or smitht@lindsey.edu or Adaircountyarts@gmail.com.

Artist and art instructor Darlene Campbell stands between two paintings she has shared in the local artists works on display at the Lucretia Begley Art Gallery at LWC during the past month.
