Pre-K kids and parents invited for food, fun and learning By Paula Garrison The Bornlearning(R) Academy, a series of family workshops for parents of children not yet enrolled in Kindergarten, begins September 30, 2019 at Adair County Primary Center. At the Academy, we have a family dinner, educational opportunities for parents and children, and fun while we learn how to turn everyday moments into learning opportunities. Any Adair County parent that is pregnant or has a child under the age of 5 years qualifies for these free events. This is a family program so children attend with the parents. Why attend? Because parents are a child's first and most important teacher and we want to form early partnerships with families that help prepare children for Kindergarten. You will have the opportunity to meet other parents, interact with school staff and will receive valuable information that can help you prepare your child for future school success. There will also be a free family meal from 5-5:30pmCT, gifts, resources for your family, child care and great door prizes for attending! Lessons will be from 5:30-7. How do I register to attend? Contact the Family Resource Center at Adair County Primary Center by calling 270-384-9752 or send an email to paula.garrison@adair.kyschools.us Sessions 1 & 2 Monday, Sept. 30th 5-7pmCT: Translating early learning research into easy-to-do activities; Building Relationships: Test your knowledge, Are you Baby Smart?
