Serena Corbin to exhibit art in Louisville

By Chosalin Morales

Campbellsville, KY - Serena Corbin, the daughter of Tammy Corbin of Columbia, KY, and a 2017 graduate of Adair County High School, is one of 14 artists regionally selected from Chicago to Nashville to display her artwork in the Tim Faulkner Gallery in Louisville. Corbin is currently a junior art major at Campbellsville University.

The group show is titled "Portraits," and Corbin's art is titled "Consumed by Numbers" and is an 18x24 inch black and white charcoal and colored pen piece.

The free exhibit is at the Tim Faulkner Gallery, 991 Logan St. in Louisville, KY, until September 30, 2019.

"This is an important exhibition as September shows are considered to be season openers for the year. There will be a lot of eyes on her work, and we are excited for her to have been included in this opportunity in this phase of her artistic development," Azucena "Susie" Trejo Williams, assistant professor of art and design at Campbellsville University, said.

Williams said Corbin got into this exhibition that is not a student show but rather an open call to regional artists.
