Funeral services for Calvin C. Piercy, 77, 249 Piercy Road, Columbia, KY, will Thursday, April 10, 2003, at 1:00 p.m. CT, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home in Columbia, KY.

Mr. Piercy passed away Tuesday, April 8, 2003, at his home after a short illness.



He was the son of the late Charlie and Ida Hoover Piercy of Adair County.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Forest Piercy, who died in January 1998.

He is survived by his wife, Helen Piercy , Columbia; three step sons, Stevie Flatt and Dennie Flatt, Russell Springs; and Homer Veach, Campbellsville; five step children, Judy Blair, Barbara Bloyd, and Shelia Hicks, all of Russell Springs, Patsy Hadley of Jamestown, and Tara Underwood, Campbellsville; one brother, Nolan Piercy, Leitchfield; and 12 step grandchildren and several step great granchildren.

He was preceded in death by these brothers and sisters: Avery Piercy, Ancil Piercy, Cassius Piercy, Walker Piercy, Oval "Peck" Piercy, Lida Turner, Frances Grant, Hallie Helm, and Myrtle Kemp.

Mr. Piercy was a member of the Plum Point Baptist Church. He was a farmer and was retired by Day & Day Feed Mill.

Visitation will be after 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 9, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home.

Brother Chris Clark will officiate at the funeral. Burial will be in the Columbia Cemetery.
