Section of KY 100 in Monroe Co. set for temporary closure

By Wes Watt

Bowling Green, KY - A project to repair a slide on KY 100 in Monroe County will close the road near mile point 24 about a mile south of KY 243. The closure is expected to begin on Sept. 9 and the roadway is expected to reopen on Sept. 23. The detour will utilize KY 163, KY 90 and KY 3115. Motorists need to allow extra travel time due to the distance of the detour.

Maintenance crews will also be working on a section of KY 100 near mile point 1 in Cumberland County so motorists should use caution while in this area.
