Farmers Market on the Square welcomes ACMS students

By Donna Jones, Market Coordinator

Farmers Market on the Square (FM2) will have potatoes, green beans, squash, cucumbers, peppers, and still some tomatoes Saturday, August 24, 2019, in addition to the many regular items for sale. We will also be giving away a wooden bowl made by Carlos Lloyd this Saturday and next Saturday.

Brittany Smith's ACMS Ag 1 class visited the Farmers Market on the Square on Wednesday, August 21, 2019. Students visited with the vendors and asked questions about the produce and goods they were selling. Students were also able to purchase local produce to take home.

The students had a class project they had to document and then they shopped and we all had a great time and a great experience for them.

Pumpkins and sweet potatoes will be coming in soon as well as other fall vegetables.

The Market is located at the corner of Merchant and Campbellsville Streets in Columbia each Wednesday and Saturday.
