LWC Women's Soccer hosts Indiana Wesleyan University tonight

The sixth-ranked Lindsey Wilson women's soccer team kicks off its 2019 season against Indiana Wesleyan at 7pmCT tonight at Walter S. Reuling Stadium, 151 Holloway Drive, Columbia, KY.

This marks the 10th matchup between the Blue Raiders and the Wildcats. Lindsey Wilson leads the series 7-2.


Lindsey Wilson is coming off a 13-4-2 record last season, reaching the NAIA National Tournament for an 18th consecutive season. The Blue Raiders fell to William Carey (Miss.) - the eventual national champions -- 1-0 in the NAIA National Tournament quarterfinals.

Indiana Wesleyan posted a 10-7-1 record last season, falling to Marian (Ind.) in the Crossroads Tournament quarterfinals.

The Blue Raiders return nine players, including senior Emelie Liljered. Last season the native of Stenungsund, Sweden, led the team with 12 goals while competing in 15 games.
