Appleton and Meece Plead Innocent

"Meg" Wellnitz Appleton and William Meece entered pleas of Innocent to charges brought last month in the 10-year old triple murder at the Wellnitz house in Columbia. State police still haven't released information on the new evidence that allowed them to seek an arrest late last month. Updated 2003-03-13, 9:55 am

Lexington media are reporting on the plea here: WKYT TV. An earlier story on WKYT also offers information, and the Lexington Herald is running an article about Appleton's attempt to gain custody of her son.

Update 2003-03-13:
Additional stories are running in the Courier-Journal, and on WBKO.
