Gregory Foster Coomer, 61, Fairplay, KY (1958-2019)

Greg enjoyed his business in downtown Columbia, Printing Creations, for 35 years. Golf and hunting were two of his pastimes and he enjoyed music and playing the guitar.

Gregory Foster Coomer of Fairplay died Wednesday, August 14, 2019 at his home after an illness. He was 61 years old.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2019, at 9amCT at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Dwan Hadley and Bro. Don Neat officiating. Burial will follow in Wild Gardens Cemetery in Fairplay, Kentucky. There will be no graveside service.

Visitation is requested after 5pmCT on Friday.



He was born April 2, 1958 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Rollen Foster & Myrna Sue Loy Coomer. Greg was a member of Mt. Zion Church and owned and operated Printing Creations for 35 years. Golf and hunting were two of his pastimes and he enjoyed music and playing the guitar.

Greg will be sorely missed by his wife, Joyce Evans Coomer of Fairplay; his "children", Keith (Emmy) Overstreet of Fairplay & Rene Perkins of Columbia; and his "Sis", Karen Burton of Columbia.

Other relatives who will miss Greg, are his aunt, Carolyn (Charles) Jones; his uncle, Tony Loy; and first cousins, Timmy Jones, Danny (Jeanette) Grant, Dennis (Sally) Grant, Timmy Loy, Amy Loy Sandusky, Howard (Karen) Loy, Jeanna Loy, Jerry (Cindy) Compton, Nancy (Jeff) Burton, Betty Sue (Charlie) Hancock, Rhonda (Garry) Cox, Marsha (Jim) Napier, Tammy (Billy) Sexton, Tony (Pam) Compton, Kathy (Keith) Greer & Stephen (Pam) Compton.

Several other relatives & friends also survive.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Hosparus or Mt. Zion Church. These can be made at the funeral home.

Casket Bearers: Timmy Jones, Timmy Loy, Dennis Grant, Tony Compton, Stephen Compton, Howard Loy and Jerry Compton

Honorary Casket Bearers are too numerous to mention.
