Christine H. Willis, 77

Funeral services were held at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home Wednesday, February 26, 2003, for Christine H. Willis who died at the UofK Medical Center after a brief illness.

She was a member of the Beulah Chapel Brethren in Christ Church and was retired from Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville.

Mrs. Willis was the daughter of the late David and Nancy Harmon Burton and she was the widow of Ruel Holmes who preceded her in death in 1970. She later married Hudson Willis who preceded her in death in 1985.

She is survived by one son Rodney Burton of Kokomo, Indiana; three daughters, Vicki Henson and her husband Donald, and Patricia Quinn and her husband Dean, all of Columbia; and Charlotte Miller of Louisville.

Also surviving are a brother, Sam Burton of Vandalia, Ohio; six grandchildren, Trevor Henson, Twalla Gilbert, Wesley Miller, Mitchell Quinn, Scott and Brian Burton, and she was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Charlotte Rena Burton. There are seven great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers for Christine H. Willis were: Billy, Freddie and Jerry Corbin, and Jack, Steve and Snooter Hancock. Clergy officiating were Bro. Wilbur Benner, Bro. Clifton Bennett and Bro. J. Richard Lehman. Interment was in Haven Hill Cemetery. The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of a donation to Millerfield Brethren in Christ Church building fund.
