Glenwood Corbin, 81

Services were held for Glenwood Corbin Wednesday, February 19, 2003 at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home.

Mr. Corbin died February 16 at the Taylor County Hospital. He was the son of Asa and Mary Florence Colvin Corbin.

He is survived by his wife Nellie Floyd Corbin of Columbia; three daughters, Debbie Raines and her husband Richard of Columbia; Glendora Cecil and her husband Leonard, of Charlestown, Indiana; and Rosanna Hurst of Lawrenceburg, Kentucky; two sons, Bro. Stephen Corbin and his wife Lisa of Columbia; and Richard Neil Corbin and his wife Mary, of Louisville.

Also surviving are a brother Gilbert of Campbellsville; two sisters, Ernestine McDaniel of Anderson, Indiana; and Mary Nell Peters of Louisville. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Asa Clelland Corbin and Ray Kenneth Corbin. He had seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends surviving.

Mr. Corbin attended the Caldwell Chapel Separate Baptist Church and the Beckham Ridge Separate Baptist Church, was retired from the state highway department, a welder and farmer, and a Veteran of World War II.

Clergy officiating were Rev. Garnett Hammond and Bro. Stephen Corbin. Interment was in Haven Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers were Dwight Corbin, Stacy Huff, Glen Raines, Greg Hammond, Carlton Lindsey and Todd Cundiff.
