Dimple Loy, 93

Tuesday, February 18, 2003:
Services will be held tomorrow at 10 a.m. at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home for Dimple Loy who died Sunday at Summit Manor Nursing Home.


Mrs. Loy, the daughter of Thrishus Bell and Hallie Emma Akin McClister, was preceded in death by her husband, Clifton Loy, in 1983. They were residents of the Fairplay community. Mrs. Loy was a member of the Southside Church of Christ, retired from Osh Kosh and a homemaker.

Surviving are two sons, Thurman J. Loy of Columbia and Tony Loy of Fairplay; two daughters, Betty Jo Compton and Myrna Coomer, both of Fairplay; two sisters, Ruthie Wilson and Susie Estel Taylor, both of Louisville.

Also surviving are 15 grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, six step-great grandchildren, six great great grandchildren and two step-great great grandchildren.

The family requests visitation at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home after 1:30 p.m. today. Minister Hugh Gannon will officiate at the service in the morning with burial following in the Loy Cemetery in Fairplay.
