Obituary: George Buck, 73, Adair Co., KY

Services for George Buck will be held at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home tomorrow, February 1, at 1 p.m.

Mr. Buck, a Campbellsville resident, died January 30 after a short illness. He was the son of the late William Claude and Elizabeth White Buck.

He is survived by his wife, Dimple Wheet Buck; four sons, Danny Buck, Robert Turner, George Alfred and Mitchell Buck, all of Campbellsville; three daughters, Betty Jo Shively and Peggy Gilpin of Campbellsville, and Barbra Burton of Columbia; and two sisters, Maxine Burton of Columbia and Bessy Lay of Aurora, Indiana. Also surviving are 19 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Mr. Buck was a member of the Campbellsville Brethren in Christ Church and a retired carpenter. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Alice Fair, Edith Buck and Nora Clements, and by two brothers, Jim and Alvin Buck.

Bro. Roy Phillips and Tommy Mitchum will be officiating at the service and burial will be in the Haven Hill Cemetery.


Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street in Columbia, KY, in charge of arrangements.
