WILLIAM BARNETT, 58, of the Pellyton community

WILLIAM BARNETT, 58, of the Pellyton community died Thursday, January 9, at Westlake Hospital after several months illness.

He was the son of the late Henry Estil and Flossie Irene Scott Barnett, and is survived by his wife, Annette Lemmon Barnett of Columbia, a son Hollis of Louisville; two daughters, Bridget Hutchinson of Litchfield and Andrea Barnett of Columbia. Also surviving are four brothers, Arvil, Carlie, Clifford and Marshall Barnett; and five sisters, Rose Woodrum, Lois Cook, Retha Burton, Shirley Roehers and Janet Knifley. There are four grandchildren, Quinton, LeAnn, Tori and Amy Hutchinson.

Mr. Barnett was a member of Barnett's Creek United Methodist Church and a farmer. His funeral services were held at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home on January 11 and his burial took place in the Pellyton Cemetery. Officiating clergy were Rev. Cliff Burris and Rev. Michael Lemmon. Pallbearers included: Chad and David Barnett, Gary Burton, Josh Knifley, Christopher Patton and Jeff Roehers.

Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
