Artists called for Lucretia C. Begley Gallery exhibit

The Adair County Arts Council announces an exhibit to showcase visual artists from Adair County, KY beginning August 19, 2019.

All media in 2 dimensional or 3 dimensional art forms are accepted.

The exhibit from run from August 19 through September 20, 2019 in the Lucretia C. Begley Gallery at Lindsey Wilson College.

Open to the public, the reception will be held at 6pmCT September 19, 2019.

Guidelines for artist participation follow:



-Artists from Adair County and surrounding area are Encouraged to submit works for exhibit.

-Open to all 2 dimensional and 3 dimensional visual art forms, media, and styles.

- Works must be ready for display with suitable frame and wire for hanging 2D works or mounts for 3D forms if needed.

- Size up to 60 inches in any dimension, including frame and all materials; weight up to 50 lbs.

- Original artwork only. No reproductions. Examples from editions (printmaking) are acceptable.

- Artists may submit up to two works.

- Themes and subjects must be appropriate for general public.

- Artists must be age 16 or older. Under age 18 participants must have waiver signed by parent or guardian.

- Complete registration form and submit printed copy upon delivery of work

- Priority will be given to works created within the past three years.

Artworks for exhibit should be delivered to the Lucrecia C. Begley Gallery in the Slider Building at Lindsey Wilson College on Friday, August 16, 2019 between 10am and 4pmCT, and between 10am and 12noonCT Saturday, August 17, 2019.

Hand deliveries only. Artworks submitted will be approved by a committee of Arts Council members. Artists will be notified by August 19, 2019 for acceptance in exhibit.

Pickup of artwork is between 10am and 12noonCT Saturday, September 21, 2019.
