TJ Health Columbia hosts Columbia Adair Chamber luncheon By Linda Waggener TJ Health Columbia hosted members of the Columbia Adair County Chamber of Commerce luncheon last week in the hospital cafeteria. CEO Neil Thornbury shared an update about the operation and invited questions from the 30+ in attendance. The Health Fair is their biggest opportunity to touch the lives of hundreds of people and he said they are committed to hold it again. The date for the 2019 health fair will be October 26, 2019 at 7amCT. Advance blood draw will be October 2, 3, 15 and 16 plus on the day of the event. By coming to the early blood draw, the results will be available on the day of the health fair. Thornbury thanked everyone for their continuing support of TJ Health Columbia operations and said they are honored to be part of the rebuilding of the hospital. Every year since the purchase, there has been positive growth. The payroll in Columbia has increased by 80% - 110 employees are working in the TJ Health network. Thornbury said they are very proud that the same level of care at the parent hospital, TJ Samson in Glasgow, is coordinated with TJ Health Columbia at all its centers. "We come to events like this," he said, "because we want to hear from every person who comes in contact with the services - especially if there is any negative experience, we want to hear about it and be able to take immediate action for improvement."
