LWC Softball opens up MSC Tournament against KY Christian By Benjamin Riegger No.1-seeded Lindsey Wilson softball team opens up the Mid-South Conference Softball Tournament against No. 8-seeded Kentucky Christian on Friday, May 3 at 10amCT at Michael O. Buchanon Park, Nashville Rd., Bowling Green, KY. The Blue Raiders (42-2, 21-1 MSC) returns to the dirt after concluding their regular season by sweeping Campbellsville (Ky.) 10-7 and 9-5 on Saturday afternoon. As a team, The Blue Raiders are batting .355while tallying 67 home runs and 314 RBIs. Lindsey Wilson maintains a .588 slugging percentage and a .415 on-base percentage. The Blue Raider bullpen is bolstering a 1.69 earned run average on 281.2 innings of work, while keeping opposing batters to a .198 batting average. Callum Pilgrim continues to lead the team with a .458 batting average with 11 homeruns and 49 RBIs. Pilgrim leads the Blue Raiders in stolen bases, stealing 35-bases on- 37 attempts. The pitching duo of Annabelle Ramirez and Hannah Epperson continue their strong presence on in the circle for the Blue Raiders. Ramirez is posting a 1.07 earned run average with 124 strikeouts on 85.1 innings pitched, while keeping opposing batters at a .135 batting average. Epperson adds in with a 1.18 earned run average on 77.1 innings pitch with 66 strikeouts, while holding opponents to a .191 batting average. Kentucky Christian (22-29, 4-20) returns to the dirt after dropping their series with Cumberland (Tenn.) 4-0 last weekend. The Knights are batting .307 with eight homeruns and 235 RBIs, while maintaining an on-base percentage of .371. Summer Collins leads the Kentucky Christian with a .494 batting average with a team high seven triples. Collins leads the knights in stolen bases with her stealing 42- out of- 47 bases this season.
