Geneva Melson, 82, Russell County, KY (1937-2019)

Geneva Melson, 82, of Jamestown, KY passed away Tuesday, April 30th, at Russell County Hospital.

Religious Service at H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel, Jamestown,, KY, at 1pmCT on Friday, May 3, 2019 with Bro. Ralph Foster officiating. Friends may visit Friday 11am. Pallbearers: Grandsons. Interment at Jamestown Cemetery.



Geneva was born in Columbia, KY on April 18, 1937, a daughter of the late Emma Murrell and Arvin Conover.

She is survived by

Four daughters - Lois Asberry, Ethel Brown, Joyce Asberry, and Jewel Stephens

Two sons - Johnny Melson and Tommy Conover

A sister - Barbara York

A brother - Roy Conover

She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 10 great great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Arvil Melson, son Dale Melson, grandson Bradley Asberry, two brothers - James and Lewis Conover, four sisters - Mildred and Doris Conover, Elsie Oller, and Dorothy Murphy.
