Business: touring Morgan Smith Industries in Columbia

By Linda Waggener

Guests were invited to tour Morgan Smith Industries in Columbia last week. The business is located in what many remember as Oshkosh B'Gosh from 1997, which then became McCamish Manufacturing.

In 2015 Morgan Smith Industries LLC, an architectural millwork and custom fabrication manufacturer, bought the plant and over 40 jobs are provided there.

Those who had heard about the business at the Columbia Adair County Chamber of Commerce April meeting were offered the opportunity to see the unique works from start to finish in the plant.

Projects in the works now, or ones that have been completed, are created from all types of wood, laminate, solid surface, resin, quartz and even concrete and steel type interior fabrications.

Morgan Smith is located off Highway 55 South at 132 Industrial Drive Road, Columbia, KY.
