Jacquelene Wilson Simpson, 87, Russell Springs, KY (1932-2019)

Jacquelene Wilson Simpson of Russell Springs, died Sunday, April 28, 2019 at the Russell County Hospital. She was 87 years old.

The funeral service for Jacquelene Wilson Simpson will be held at 1pmCT on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 N. Main St., Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. Jim Molden officiating and special music performed by William Abrell. Interment will follow in the Clear Springs Cemetery.

Visitation is requested from 11amCT to 1pmCT on Wednesday.

She was born January 23, 1932 in Russell County.

Jacquelene was a homemaker and a member of Clear Springs Missionary Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Otha & Rose Richards Wilson, her husband, Robert Simpson; and three sisters, Mary Tompkins, Golda Tompkins, and Juanita Wilson.

Survivors include:
  • Two sons: Ricky (Pam) Gasaway, Russell Springs, and Leslie (Dawn) Simpson, Russell Springs
  • Two granddaughters: Brenda Ruckel, Stanford, Ky, and Kelsey Simpson, Russell Springs
  • One grandson: Matthew Simpson, Russell Springs
  • One great granddaughter: Christy Alexis Ruckel, Stanford, Ky
