LWC Women's track and field earn 2 All-Conference Honors

Williamsburg, KY - The Lindsey Wilson women's track and field team sits in third place after the first day of competition at the Mid-South Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships.

The Blue Raiders finished the day with a total of 42 team points with one first-team and one second-team all-conference honors. Shawnee State (Ohio) is in first with 40 team points, followed by Cumberlands (KY) at No. 2 with 46 team points.

-PRELIMINARIES-

Alexia DeHaven-Boyd leads the women's team with four qualifying times for Saturday's finals. DeHaven-Boyd earned the first-place seed in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:07.09. In the 400-meter run, DeHaven-Boyd earned a second-place qualifying time finishing in 59.47 seconds. Dehaven-Boyd added another second place seed with a time of 26.21 seconds. In the 100-meter run, DeHaven-Boyd added in with a time of 13.15 seconds to earn the third seed.

Safia Bright adds in with three qualifying times in 100, 200 and 400-meter runs. Bright earned the No.1 seed in the 100-meter run in 12.44 seconds. In the 200-meter run, Bright qualified with a time of 25.27 seconds to earn the top seed in Saturday's final. Bright earned another first-place seed in the 400-meter run with a qualifying time of 58.06 seconds.

Marie Ninamou earned three qualifying times in both the 200 and 400-meter runs. In the 200, Ninamou earned the seventh seed with a time of 27.26 seconds, while in 400 she took the sixth seed in 59.80 seconds. Ninamou added a sixth seed finish in 13.29 seconds for Saturday's final.

In the 100 meter hurdles, Annesha Harris earned the second seed with a qualifying time of 15.74 seconds. Oreatha Hurt added in with a qualifying time of 17.47 seconds to earned the fourth seed. Tatiana Williams earned the sixth seed with a time of 17.50 seconds.

In the 800 meter run, Dezare Jackson earned the seventh seed in Saturday's final with a time of 2:31.84.

In 400- meter hurdles, Williams earned the fourth seed with a run of 1:14.68 seconds. Carley Johnson earned the fifth seed with a time of 1:15.39, while Kirsten Crepps finished in 1:17.25 to earn the seventh seed.

In the women's heptathlon, Jahlia McNealy sits in first place with 1,938 points, while Aiyannna Drake adds in with 1,299 points to sit in fourth-place.

-FINALS-

Harris earned first-team all-conference honors in the long jump with a jump of 5.64 meters.

Paige Pettel added in with a second place finish in the hammer throw with a throw of 45.45 meters to earn second-team all-conference honors. De'jah Smith added in with an eighth-place finish in the hammer with a throw of 40.18 meters.

Alexis McKee earned a fifth-place finish in the Javelin throw, with a throw of 25.21 meters.

In the 3,000-meter steeplechase, Meredith Johnson earned fourth-place with a time of 12:56.25, while Elsa Diaz added in with a sixth-place finish in 13:36.88.

The relay of Kirsten Creeps, Kayla Roeder, Carley Johnson and Dezare Jackson claimed seventh with a time of 11:12.80.
