LWC outdoor track and field head to MSC Championships

The Lindsey Wilson men and women's outdoor track and field teams are scheduled to compete at the Mid-South Conference Championships at on Friday-Saturday, April 26-27 starting at 7amCT at James H. Taylor II Stadium, 81 Rant St, Williamsburg, KY.

This year, the conference is slated to run events Friday and Saturday with the men and women's 10,000 meter runs kicking off the championships. In total, 46 events are set to be run over the two-day event in Williamsburg, KY.


Men's track and field enters the championships as the four-time reigning champions, while the women are the three-time reigning champions. The women's team captured the Indoor track and field Championships earlier this year, while the men's team took third.

The men's track and field team captured last year's championship with a total of 230 team points to edge out Cumberlands (Ky.) by 25 points.

The women's track and field team earned a total of 251 team points and seven first-place victories en route to their third-straight MSC Championship.
